Health & Safety Management Policy
REAL HEIGHTS is committed to preventing the accidental loss of any of its resources, including employees and physical assets. Our policy is to provide and maintain a safe and healthy – environment, working conditions, equipment, and systems of works in our workplace. We are devoted to continuing improvement towards achieving an accident free workplace through active administration, education and training. Our philosophy is that the well-being of our company and clients is dependent on the health and safety or our workforce. The Directors and Officers of this organization promise that every precaution reasonable in all the circumstances will be taken for the protection of all workers. In order to fulfill this requirement the management has pledged to do the following:-
- To provide adequate training to ensure employees are competent to do their work.
- To implement emergency procedures – evacuation in case of fire or other significant incident.
- To maintain safe and healthy working conditions, provide and maintain plant, equipment and machinery, and ensure safe storage/use of substances.
- To prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health and provide adequate control of health and safety risks arising from work activities.
- Provide and maintain plant, equipment and systems of work that are safe.
- The safety and health of fellow workers, the community and the environment is the responsibility of every worker and contractor, subcontractor and vendor. Contractors, subcontractors and vendors will be evaluated on their safety performance.
- Safety is cost effective. A safe site is an effectively managed site.
It is the duty of each tier of Management to communicate and cascade this policy to all employees under their control and also to other interested 3rd parties who could be affected by the contents of this policy.
Company Quality Assurance
REAL HEIGHTS we believe that the company is only as good as its last customer. Employees must meet the standards consistently otherwise clients might seek out the competition when the need arises. Every employee is required to know and understand the company’s quality standards as it is the core for delivering persistent results. REAL HEIGHTS currently follows the cycle uses 4 steps
- Plan– In this step all the data that is available is examined and analyzed. A strategy is drawn out based on the requirement of the client
- Do– This step involves giving instructions and carrying out the objectives that were analyzed previously. All the jobs that are executed are overlooked by the site engineers.
- Check– During this stage, all the work that was carried out are tested and verified. This stage involves correcting any faults that may have occurred.
- Act– The act stage involves evaluating the job or project that has been completed. It involves learning from doing. Each stage of the job is evaluated and job standards are created so as to be followed in the future. This allows employees to engage in a learning cycle that improves the quality of their work continuously.
The QA/QC Plan developed byREAL HEIGHTS is intended to define the quality policy, procedures and objectives to ensure proper adherence to the applicable standards for various types of activities.
The quality plan explains and guides the QA/QC personnel to understand and implement the various requirements at different stages of the project. Which means, it includes functional quality control (QC) instructions or work procedures for the applicable work phases and work elements.
It shall be the responsibility of REAL HEIGHTS to assess the contract quality requirements of job orders, budgeted items and service orders.
Objective
The objective of this quality plan is to achieve successful completion of the given scope of work in the project according to the conditions, requirements and various other acceptable standards with special emphasis on the requirements of Client.
Methods to meet the Objective
The following methods are used to obtain/meet the quality objectives:
- REAL HEIGHTS has QA/QC Management apply the following means to meet the quality objectives as required:
- Understanding and possessing the various Client’s specifications and standards.
- Preparing a comprehensive Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) for the given project.
- Training the QA/QC Engineer(s) in order to implement the QA/QC procedures and to highlight the deficiencies, if any for rectification.
- Establish, schedule and conducting the internal audit program to cover all work phases conformance to the requirement. Also performing periodical review of internal audit reports and to recommend the required corrective actions
- Retain healthy interfaces with the equipment vendors in order to ensure that the required quality standards are maintaining by the manufacturer.
- Develop and maintaining a well-controlled quality documentation and data control system.
REAL HEIGHTS develops and maintains separate quality procedure for control of nonconforming products to ensure that the product and or services / processes, which does not conform to the product requirement is identified and controlled to prevent its unintended use or delivery
Subcontractors if any shall possess the following as the minimum:
Demonstrate the capability to comply with the project quality requirements. Dependable and reliable resources.
- Qualified skilled craftsmen for design, engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning and supervisors.
- Qualified QA/QC personnel, who can establish elaborate QA/QC procedures and formats that, can assure quality and control in order to implement the guidelines of this Quality Manual effectively.
- Should select only Client approved independent material testing laboratories to conduct all necessary material testing and / or other testing services in the project.
Planning of Construction Activities Involving Significant Risks
Overview Hazard Identification
Once the safety plan has been approved by the client, Real Heigh’s project manager will set up hazard identification walk through with a risk assessment team comprising of the following:-
- Real Heights Project Manager
- Real Heights Safety Manager
- Real Heights Safety Officer
- Client’s representative(s)
This team will meet to identify and discuss significant hazards expected to arise during the construction phase and decide the actions appropriate to eliminate or minimize the hazard or risk. These meetings will be documented on the forms and the implications for supervision, training, protective equipment and other controls assessed and will be documented on the forms.
Project Planning
Prior to the start of any contract, analysis shall be made by Real Heights to ensure that construction will be conducted in a safe manner. Similarly, accident prevention is analyzed, both at the planning stage and throughout the contract. Accident prevention is a real factor in the economic success of all contracts.
